`I am ISI agent’, declares Pakistani national at Delhi’s IGI airport

New Delhi: In a shocking incident, an individual made a voluntary declaration on Friday forenoon at the Indira Gandhi International Airport here about being a ISI spy and he happened to be a Pakistani national.

Rafiq, who had arrived here by Air India’s flight from Dubai, was further booked for Kathmandu

According to sources, an officer at the arrival help desk at the airport was taken aback when an individual said, “Hello, I am an ISI agent. But I don’t wish to continue any further and want to remain in India.”

The said passenger had got off an Air India flight from Dubai when he made this suo moto declaration at the IGI Airport.

The individual in question is Muhammad Ahmad Sheikh Muhammad Rafiq, a Pakistani passport holder.

He told the the individual at the arrival help desk that he wanted to share information about Pakistan’s snooping agency, ISI.

Hearing as to what the Pakistani national had said, the person at the help desk quickly informed security officials who detained him immediately and in turn informed the intelligence agencies.

Rafiq, who had arrived here by Air India’s flight from Dubai, was further booked for Kathmandu.

He, however, he did not take the next flight and decided to break journey and walked up to the help-desk counter at the airport.

The security agencies immediately whisked away the said Pak ISI agent to an undisclosed destination where he was being questioned by sleuths.

Sources said that the intelligence agencies are verifying the claims of the said Pakistan national with further investigations in progress.
