Al-Qaida-linked terror cell announces Zakir Musa as its chief in Kashmir

New Delhi: Till other day a terrorist associated with Hizbul Mujahideen, who became the outfit’s chief in the Kashmir valley after the killing of Burhan Wani, has been made the newly constituted Al Qaida’s terror cell chief and the terrorist in question is Zakir Musa.

Zakir is the lead figure of a new generation of terrorists

Terrorist Zakir Musa, who had announced to establish caliphate in the Kashmir valley, has been announced as the head of a newly created al-Qaida terro cell, Ansar Ghazwat-Ul-Hind, in Jammu and Kashmir.

An announcement about the formation of the new terror outfit was revealed in a statement released on Thursday by “Global Islamic Media Front”, an al-Qaida-affiliated information network.

Zakir is the lead figure of a new generation of terrorists who have exploited social media and is marked amid the growing disillusionment among local population to revitalise terrorism in Kashmir region.

“I see that many people in Kashmir are engaged in a war of nationalism, which is forbidden in Islam,” Zakir had said. The fight in the region should “not be for the sake of Kashmir”, he added. “It should be exclusively for Islam so that Sharia law is established here.”

Another video released by Zakir’s group in April attacked Pakistan for the first time, declaring: “There is no Islam (there) at present, so we are unhappy with it. We have to do jihad with Pakistan as well.”

However, as expected, the Hurriyat and other terrorist groups operating in Kashmir have distanced themselves from Zakir Musa’s statements.
