UP Anti Terrorist Squad arrests Bangladeshi terrorist from Muzaffarnagar

Lucknow: In a major breakthrough, the Uttar Pradesh Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) arrested a Bangladeshi terrorist associated with Islamic terror group Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT), early on Sunday morning from Muzaffarnagar.

ABT is an al Qaida inspired Islamic terror group active in Bangladesh

According to IG, ATS, Asim Arun, the name of the arrested Bangladeshi terrorist is Abdullah.

He was nabbed by the ATS sleuths from Kutesara locality in Charthawal area of Muzaffarnagar district, said Arun.

The police official said that the arrested Bangladeshi terrorist was living in the area for the past one month.

Prior to that, Abdullah was residing in Deoband area of Saharanpur since 2011 and had also managed to get his Aadhar card and passport prepared on fake identity, said the IG ATS.

The ATS chief said that Abdullah is associated with Bangladeshi terror outfit, Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT) and was involved in preparing fake identity proofs of terrorists, especially those from Bangladesh which enabled them safe hideouts in India.

It may be mentioned here that ABT is an al Qaida inspired Islamic terror group active in Bangladesh.

Further investigations were on by the ATS teams of Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar and local police of Shamli into the arrest as fresh searches were on to smash Abdullah’s network in Western and other parts of the state.
