Ceasefire violation was intended to give cover fire to terrorists waiting at the launch pads

According to a senior police official, Pakistan army resorted to unprovoked firing on the LoC in Keran sector injuring three soldier. “All the soldiers were immediately shifted to Army hospital where one of the soldiers succumbed to his injuries,” said the police official adding that the condition of the other two injured soldiers is stable and out of danger.

He said that the ceasefire violation was intended to give cover fire to terrorists waiting at the launch pads to infiltrate. “All such attempts were defeated and till reports last came in, the Indian Army has been responding adequately to Pakistan aggression,” said the official.

It may be mentioned here that the Pakistani troops had earlier violated ceasefire on the international border (IB) in the Jammu district consecutively for four days.
