No re-examination for CBSE Class 10 maths following paper leak

New Delhi: The government announced on Tuesday it will not conduct any re-examination for Class 10 maths paper despite an alleged leak of the question paper.

The Class 10 math examination was held March 28

“Consequent to the preliminary evaluation of the impact of reportedly leaked CBSE Class 10 maths paper and keeping in mind the paramount interest of students, the CBSE has decided not to conduct re-examination even in Delhi, NCR (National Capital Region) and Haryana. Hence, no re-exam for Class 10,” Human Resource Development Ministry Secretary Anil Swarup tweeted.

The final decision of not conducting the test came after a thorough analysis and evaluation of the answer sheets showed no specific trend that the leak had impacted the exam outcome.

The government had earlier said it may re-conduct the maths examination possibly in July for Delhi, NCR and Haryana.

The Class 10 math examination was held March 28.

Meanwhile, the re-examination for Class 12 economics paper will take place as scheduled on April 25.
