One of the five soldiers injured in Pakistan shelling and firing later succumbed in hospital, a defence official said.

The firing by the Pakistani army started at 7.30 am, injuring five soldiers

According to a senior police official, the Pakistani firing Army started unprovoked shelling and firing targeting Indian positions in Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch district.

The firing by the Pakistani army started at 7.30 am, injuring five soldiers including an officer.

The injured soldiers were airlifted to an Army hospital in Udhampur town, said the police official.
