According to senior police official, at least four terrorists affiliated with Pakistan based terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba, barged into the house of one Farooq Ahmed Parrey in Hajin area of Bandipora at around 10.10 pm and resorted to indiscriminate firing, injuring Farooq’s wife, daughter and brother.

Terrorists abducted Parey’s son-in-law and efforts since then were on to locate the abducted individual.

Meanwhile, the injured have been shifted to Srinagar where their condition is stated to be serious.

It is worth mentioning here that Farooq’s son Muzzafar Ahmed Parrey was killed by terrorists last year on the suspicion of the slain local being an informer of the security forces.

The separatists have maintained a studied silence on the attack of Parey’s family by terrorists.

Meanwhile, restrictions continued in parts of Srinagar and some other places in the Kashmir Valley on Tuesday after separatists bandh call following killings of four civilians in Shopian district on Sunday while they were trying to create hurdle in the operation against the terrorist.

Restrictions will remain in force in seven police station areas of the city and other sensitive areas in south Kashmir to maintain law and order, the police said.

Heavy contingents of police and the paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) have been deployed.

Shops, public transport, businesses and educational institutions remained closed in the valley on Tuesday as well.
