Ranchi: An Indian Air Force (IAF) trainee aircraft crashed on Tuesday in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district near Jharkhand’s East Singhbhum district, officials said.
An IAF official said that a Hawk Advanced Jet Trainer (AJT) met with an accident after the aircraft took off on a routine training sortie from Kalaikunda Air Force station in Kharagpur
The trainee pilot ejected safely and was taken to a hospital.
An investigation has been ordered into the accident, said an official.
