Srinagar: A CRPF jawan was martyred and another injured in a terrorist attack here on Tuesday afternoon.
According to a senior police official, terrorists attacked a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) patrol party outside the police control room in Batmaloo area here in the afternoon, injuring two security personnel.
The police official said that the injured security personnel were shifted to hospital where one of them identified as Shankar Lal of the paramilitary force’s 23rd Battalion, succumbed to critical injuries.
He said that the entire area has been cordoned off and and intensive search operation launched to nab or neutralise the terrorists responsible for the said attack.
