Srinagar: Security forces on Sunday killed a Jais-e-Mohammad (JeM) terrorist in Handwara area of Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir.

A senior police official said that a group of terrorists attacked a security forces party at a naka at Handwara bypass in the Kupwara district.
However, in the retaliatory fire by the security forces, one terrorist was killed.
The police official said that the neutralised terrorists was later identified as Istiyaaq, a Pakistani national. He was affiliated to Pakistan based terror group JeM, said the police official.
The slain Pakistani terrorists was responsible for a number of terror attacks on security establishments besides committing atrocities on locals.
Besides incriminating material, arms and ammunition was recovered from the neutralised terrorist, said the police official.
