Jammu: A major terrorist attack in Jammu was foiled by the security forces on Tuesday when from a bus parked near the bus stand in the city a large quantity of RDX was recovered.
According to sources in the state police, over 18 kg RDX was recovered by the security forces from a bus which had arrived in Jammu from Bilawar in Kathua district.
Security forces have taken into custody the conductor and the driver of the bus who during initial grilling, divulged that the explosive was handed over by a couple and was to be delivered in Jammu, said sources adding that efforts were on to find the couple who gave the explosive and also the person who was to receive the same.
Further details into the recovery is awaited.
It may be recalled that 40 kg gun powder was recovered from a home in Bilawar’s Deval area. Bilawar is a town in Kathua.
