Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Police arrested a terror associate from Pulwama district on Friday.

The arrest was made following a search conducted by security forces at a particular house in village Syedabad Tral in the morning, said an official.
On receiving reliable information, security forces comprising J&K police, 42 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and 180 BN Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), carried out the raid. During the search, a person identified as Amir Ashraf khan, a resident of Syedabad Pastuna was arrested by the security forces.
A Chinese hand grenade was recovered from his possession which he had kept in a plastic jar in the compound of his house.
Following the arrest, a case under relevant sections of law was registered against the said terror associate in Tral Police Station and further investigations were in progress, added the police official.
