Vijayawada: At least 13 members of a family were killed when a boat capsized in a lake in Andhra Pradesh’s Anantapur district, police said.
The dead include seven women and six children. One person was missing while three others were rescued by locals.
Tragedy struck the family which was returning after attending a ceremony in a nearby village.
The incident occurred in Yerratimmaraju lake in Guntakal block. Officials said the country boat capsized due to excess weight.
