Guwahati: An Indian Air Force (IAF) Sukhoi-30MKI jet went missing on Tuesday after taking off from the Tezpur base camp in Assam.

According to official sources, the Su-30MKI aircraft took off from Tezpur on Tuesday on a routine training sortie but lost radar and radio contact around 60 km north of Tezpur near China border.
There were two pilots onboard the plane when it went off the radar, said a senior IAF official.
Tezpur Air force station is located 172 km from the China border.
Earlier on March 15, a Sukhoi-30 MKI jet had crashed in Shivkar Kudla village in Rajasthan’s Barmer district.
