Srinagar: Again on Saturday morning the security forces succeeded in killing three Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists after a brief encounter in Sopore town of Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Out the three terrorists neutralised by the security forces, two of the terrorists have been identified as locals, said a police official. The local terrorists are Javaid Ahmad Dar, a resident of Baramulla town and Abid Hamid Mir, a resident of Bandipora.
He said that the third terrorists killed in the encounter in Amargarh area is still be established.
The police official said that the encounter was launched by a joint team of 179 Battalion CRPF, 52 Rashtriya Rifles and SOG Sopore on a specific intelligence input at around 4.30 am at Amargarh in Sopore of Baramulla district in north Kashmir
Large quantity of arms and ammunition including three AK-47 rifles have been recovered from the slain terrorists, said the police official.
He said that a police constable was injured in the encounter and was rushed to a local hospital where his condition is stated to be stable.
