Pakistan again violates ceasefire in J&K’s Poonch

Jammu: Pakistan Army on Friday again resorted to unprovoked firing along the Line of Control (LOC) in the Poonch sector of Jammu and Kashmir.

Shelling and firing exchanges were still going on in the area

According to a defence official, the Pakistan Army resorted to unprovoked firing at Indian positions at five places on the LoC.

He said that the Pakistan army used mortars, automatics and small arms to target Indian positions in Digwar, Shahpur, Khari, Karmara and Malti areas.

“Our Army has retaliated “strongly and effectively”, the officials said added that the shelling and firing exchanges were still going on in the area.

It may be mentioned here that this is the second ceasefire violation by the Pakistan Army in the region in the last 48 hours.
