Jalalabad (Afghanistan): Security forces during overnight operations killed 14 Islamic State (IS) terror group terrorists in the eastern Nangarhar province, provincial government spokesman Attaullah Khogiani said Wednesday.
According to the official, units of security forces raided the hideouts of IS terrorists in parts of Chaparhar district late Tuesday night killing 14 insurgents including three commanders on the spot and injured few others, agenies reported.
Huge quantity of arms and ammunitions were also destroyed during the operations, the official said.
The IS group has yet to make comment on the report.
