Srinagar: Three infiltrating terrorists were killed in a pre-drawn border operation on Wednesday after the Indian Army foiled a fresh infiltration bid by terrorists from Pakistan in Jammu and Kashmir’s Machhil sector.

According to an army spokesperson, security forces noticed suspicious movement from the Pakistani side of the Line of Control (LoC) in Machhil sector which turned out to be a group of infiltrating terrorists as they resorted to heavy firing on being challenged. “since the infiltrating terrorists resorted to heavy firing, our troops retaliated and in the process three terrorists were neutralised,” said the spokesman.
The army spokesman further said that since it was apprehended that there were some more terrorists trying to infiltrate along with the three neutralised, a search operation around the shootout site on the LoC in north Kashmir was on.
He further said that the security forces have recovered a large quantity of arms and ammunition.
