Srinagar: Two more terrorists were gunned down by the security forces in Naugam sector of Kupwara dsitrict on Sunday in an ongoing gunbattle that started on Saturday, taking the total tally of terrorists neutralised in the encounter to four.
However, one more jawan was martyred on Sunday in the ongoing gun battle between the infiltrators at the LoC, said an official.
He said that the gun-battle that started at least over 36 hours back, was still on as more terrorists were believed to have been hiding in the area covered with thick folliage and boulders.
It may be mentioned here that the gun battle with a group infiltrating terrorists started on Saturday when the Army noticed suspicious movement on the Indian side at the Line of Control in Naugam sector.
