Five Pakistani soldiers killed near LoC in J&K’s Rajouri, Poonch

Jammu: At least five Pakistani soldiers were killed in retaliatory firing by Indian forces along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Jammu and Kashmir Rajouri and Poonch sector on Tuesday.

In the retaliatory fire by Indian Army, some Pakistani posts caught fire

According to sources, four Pakistani soldiers were of the Northern Light Infantry {NLI) Unit in Dewa in the Sunderbani area of Rajouri. “These Pakistani soldiers were killed when our forces retaliated to unprovoked firing by the enemy forces,” said sources adding that one of Pakistani post in the area was completely decimated.

Another Pakistan soldier was killed in Poonch under similar circumstances.

The Pakistani soldier was killed opposite the Krishna Ghatti area of Mendhar sector last evening when the Indian jawans fired in retaliation across the LoC, said sources.

In the retaliatory fire by Indian Army, some of Pakistani posts even caught fire and the extent of damage  in terms of loss of life is unknown, sources added.
