New Delhi: Farooq Takla, an aide of fugitive gangster Dawood Ibrahim has been brought to Mumbai after being deported from Dubai following his arrest.

According to reports, Farooq Takla fled India after the 1993 blasts in Mumbai.
A Red Corner Notice was issued against the fugitive gangster in 1995, said an official.
Senior advocate Ujjwal Nikam viewed the development a “big blow” to the Dawood’s gang as Takla.
He was the man who used to look after fugitive don’s real estate and narco business in Dubai under a disguised identity.
“This is a huge success. He was involved in 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts, the links of which can be traced back to Dubai. This is a big blow to D-Gang,” Nikam said.
Takla will be produced before a TADA court in the city where the invsetigating agencies would seek custody for sustained interrogation, said sources.
Earlier this week, criminal lawyer Shyam Keswani had said that Dawood himself was “keen to return to India” but with certain preconditions, which were not acceptable to the Indian government.
Keswani’s statement comes months after Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) president Raj Thackeray made similar remarks, claiming that Dawood was reportedly negotiating a ‘settlement’ with the Centre.
