Goods train derails near Agra, rail traffic hit

Lucknow: Traffic on the Agra-Etawah rail route in Uttar Pradesh was disrupted on Thursday after a goods train derailed near the Taj Mahal town Agra, injuring its guard.

Loco pilot Dheeraj Kumar told police that all of a sudden the train started to slip on one side as the track below shifted.

Guard Sunil, who sustained injuries, has been admitted to a hospital. Railway officials said the tracks have been badly ripped near the Arnauta bridge.
