Jammu: Security forces on Thursday recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition during a search operation near the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district.
According to an official, the early morning search operation by the Army in the Jhanjar area was launched a day after a soldier was injured on Wednesday when a major infiltration bid by terrorists from Pakistan was foiled.
He said that a large forest area has been surrounded to carry out the intensive search.
Till reports last came in, the search operation was still on to ensure that the area was free of any terrorist hiding in the dense jungle.
