IAF Sergeant makes hoax bomb threat call to Mumbai Rajdhani Express train

New Delhi: The Railway police in the national capital received a bomb threat call to Mumbai Rajdhani Express on Saturday.

The caller was later identified as an IAF Sergeant, Sunil Sangwan

After receiving the call authorities swung into action. However, it turned out to be a hoax. The caller was later identified as an IAF Sergeant, Sunil Sangwan.

He reportedly called the New Delhi Railway Station and said that there was a bomb in the Mumbai Rajdhani Express.

During the investigation, it was found out that Sangwan made the threat call just to delay the train.

As per the Delhi Police, the caller was found in one of the bogies of the train, He was reportedly drunk. A detailed investigation has been launched into the matter.

A similar incident took place earlier on Friday. the Railways department received a bomb threat call to the Krishna Express train from Adilabad to Tirupati. The threat call was made when the train was at the Moulali railway station.

However, the bomb threat turned out to be a hoax. Notably, the train was about to reach Secunderabad station in some time, when the threat call was received.
