Srinagar: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan was injured on Tuesday when terrorists attacked the paramilitary forces camp in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

According to a police official, the terrorists hurled a grenade and resorted to heavy firing at the CRPF camp and the SOG (special operations group) in Newa village around 12.45 am and thereafter escaped from the site.
He said that the injured CRPF jawan was shifted to Army’s 92 base hospital where he is undergoing treatment.
Immediately after the attack, a cordon and search operation was launched in the area to nab or neutralise the terrorists responsible for the act.
Meanwhile, Indian and Pakistani troops traded heavy fire on the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district on Tuesday.
Defence sources said that the Pakistan Army resorted to unprovoked firing at Indian positions in Gulpur area at around 1 am.
“Firing exchanges continued till 3.30 am. No casualty or damage was reported on our side,” said sources adding that the unprovoked firing was again an attenpt to provide cover fire to terrorists trying to infiltrate.
However, the alert Indian troops thwarted Pakistan’s nefarious design, said sources.
