Srinagar: Body of a former village head — Sarpanch, who had been kidnapped by a group of terrorists was recovered from south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Monday.
According to a senior police official, some unidentified gunmen forced their entry into the house of a former Sarpanch, Fayaz Ahmad Dar, in Kakapora area of Pulwama district in the morning. The armed men were believed to be terrorists.
“He was forced to accompany the terrorists,” said the police official.
On Monday, the bullet-ridden body of the former village head was found in Chewa Kalan village of Pulwama district, added the police official.
