MIG-23 Aircraft Crashes near Jodhpur in Rajasthan

Jaipur: An Indian Air Force (IAF) MiG-23 trainer aircraft crashed on Thursday near Balesar village in Rajasthan’s Jodhpur district around 11.30 am.

A court of inquiry has been ordered into the incident

According to sources, the aircraft was on a routine sortie when it developed some technical snag and crashed.

However, both the pilots ejected safely.

A court of inquiry has been ordered into the incident, the sources said.

Earlier on Tuesday, an IAF Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) that was pressed into flood rescue operation, went missing in Arunachal Pradesh.

The debris of the ill-fated chopper was spotted on Wednesday but it is yet to be confirmed by the IAF, said sources.
