Srinagar: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday arrested PoK’s Muzaffarabad-based terror outfit Hizbul Mujahideen chief Salahuddin’s son, Shakeel Ahmed, during a raid here.
The NIA carried out the raid in the Rambagh area of the city. “Shakeel is working as a laboratory technician in Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) Soura.
“In 2017, the NIA arrested Shahid Yousuf, another son of Salahuddin. He was working with the Jammu and Kashmir agricultural department,” pointed out an official.
Shahid was placed under suspension by the department following the arrest.
NIA sources said both arrests have been made in connection with the terror funding scam being investigated by the agency.
