Gurugram: The Special Task Force (STF) of Haryana Police here has arrested a Nigerian citizen with heroin estimated to be worth Rs 12 crore, police said on Monday.

The suspected drug peddler has been identified as T Ahmed, who is in his early 40s. He is currently living in a rented accommodation in New Delhi.
STF Deputy Inspector General of Police Satheesh Balan said that the accused was arrested by the STF’s Hisar chief Pradeep Yadav and his team members – Inspector Sonu Malik, police officer Mahender Singh and others – near Sikanderpur Metro Station here.
“Ahmed was on a two wheeler when he was arrested. Heroin weighing 3.2 kg was recovered from his possession,” another senior police officer said.
He has been taken on police remand for interrogation.
