Pakistani troops violate ceasefire in J&K’s Poonch, India retaliates

Jammu: Pakistan on Sunday again violated the ceasefire by resorting to unprovoked firing at the Line of Control (LoC) in the Poonch sector of Jammu and Kashmir.

According to a senior police official, the Pakistan Army started indiscriminate shelling and firing on Indian positions in Digwar area of Poonch district at 7.30 am.

The police official said that the Pakistanis used mortars, small arms and automatics to target Indian positions.

However, the Indian positions retaliated effectively and strongly to unprovoked Pakistan aggression.

He said that no casualty or damage has been reported from the Indian side but the extent of damage or loss of life on the enemy side is still unknown.

Earlier on Saturday also similar act was witnessed from the Pakistani side in Kerni sector of Poonch district.
