Singer arrested for song on YouTube demanding Shivalay instead of Gyanvapi mosque

Kota: Singer Shubham Shikari has been booked for uploading a song on YouTube, which demands ‘Shivalay’ instead of Gyanvapi mosque.

Police are trying to cover the case and it is believed that the incident can incite communal sentiments

After the controversial song was released on YouTube, Shubham Shikari was arrested, based on a complaint filed by Raghuraj Singh of Kota. The complaint was lodged at Anantpura police station in Kota.

Shikari has been booked under sections 5,6,7, 295 A, 425 and 505 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Later, he got bail but police seized his mobile and other belongings.

By releasing a video on YouTube, Shubham Shikari has appealed to the people that he should be given justice and that the mobile police seized by the police should be returned. Shubham said that his phone contains his songs and many personal data.

After this video came on social media, people started supporting Shubham his song. A person on social media claims, “when a song is made in the name of “Kafir” in Bollywood, it is appreciated, but when a small singer sings a song about building a temple of Shiva, it is termed as communal, is it okay?”

As per reports, police are trying to cover the case and it is believed that the incident can incite communal sentiments.
