Srinagar: With hours of simultaneous raids in the Kashmir valley by the NIA in connection with terror funding, the rattled Pakistan proxies and their proteges working as terrorist groups targeted an Indian Army convoy on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway in Kulgam district, killing two soldiers and injuring four others.

According to defence sources, the soldier succumbed to his injuries while being shifted to an Army hospital in Srinagar.
The convoy was heading to Srinagar from Jammu when the incident occurred in Hillar area.
Following the attack the 300-km long strategic highway has been closed for vehicular moment, said a police official.
Meanwhile, Pakistani troops on Saturday once again violated the ceasefire by resorting to heavy firing along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Krishna Ghati area of Poonch district, a defence officer said.
Defence Ministry spokesman, Lieutenant Colonel, Manish Mehta said that the Pakistani troops initiated the ongoing firing exchange in Poonch district’s Krishna Ghati sector since 9.20 am.
Pakistan Army used small arms, automatics, 82 mm and 120 mm mortars.
However, the Indian Army posts were retaliating strongly and effectively.
Meanwhile, Parvaiz Ahmad, an employee of the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) was injured in the Pakistan shelling on Thursday on the LoC. Ahmed succumbed to injuries on Friday.
