Jammu: Union Minister Jitendra Singh said on Saturday that terrorism has entered its last phase in Jammu and Kashmir and the terrorists are now on the run.

I am sure terrorism has entered its last phase in the state

Talking to reporters here, he said terrorists are under tremendous pressure from the security forces in the state.

“I am sure terrorism has entered its last phase in the state. Police and the security forces are doing a commendable job.

“What is more praiseworthy is that the special operations group (SOG) of J&K Police is cooperating and working shoulder to shoulder with the security forces in operations against the terrorists”, he said.

He said Pakistan’s desperate efforts to keep terrorism alive in the state speaks of its hopelessness and despair.

“The longer Pakistan continues to support terrorism and remains in denial mode, it (Pakistan) is risking its own security and existence,” he said.

Replying a question about the apex court decision concerning Rohingyas living in India, Jitendra Singh said: “As far the BJP and its government is concerned, security of the country is the prime concern especially in light of the fact that a sizable population of Rohingyas is living in Jammu.”
