Srinagar: At a time when the security forces in the state have unilaterally halted their operations against terrorists operating in the state as a goodwill gesture during the holy month of Ramazan, terrorists brutally murdered a civilian in Kashmir’s Bandipora district.

According to a senior police official, at least three-to-four terrorists forced their entry into the house of Muhammad Yaqoob Wagay in the Hajin area late on Thursday and killed him by slitting his throat.
Wagay, a butcher by profession, died immediately, said the police official.
The police has registered a case and the investigations were on, added the police official.
Meanwhile, four people, including three policemen and a civilian, got injured when terrorists hurled a grenade at a police vehicle in Jammu town near the bus sttaion.
Terrorists lobbed a grenade at the police vehicle near Jammu bus stand around 11 pm on Thursday in which Station House Officer Rajesh Jasrotia, driver Arjun Kumar, Constable Shah Israr and a civilian, Jagdev Raj, were injured, said a police official.
He said that all the injured were rushed to SMGS hospital where their condition was stated to be stable.
Immediately after the incident, the area was cordoned off but the terrorists managed to escape, said the police official.
