Srinagar: At least eight people including four Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel and an equal number of civilians were injured on Saturday in three grenade attacks carried out by the terrorists.

Pakistan based terror outfit Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM) owned responsibility for these grenade attacks, said an official.
According to a police official, the first grenade attack was carried out in Fateh Kadal area of old city in Srinagar in which three CRPF troopers and three civilians including a woman were injured.
In less than three hours, terrorists carried out the second attack in Badshah Chowk area close to city centre Lal Chowk. Here, in this attack, a CRPF jawan and a civilian pedestrian was injured.
Minutes after the second attack, terrorist carried out the third attack when they hurled a grenade at another CRPF vehicle in Magarmal Bagh area of Srinagar.
However, nobody was injured in the third attack, said an official.
A senior police official said that the security forces have suspended operations against the terrorists in Kashmir to ensure that the people observe the month of Ramzan in prayer and penance.
Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh is scheduled to visit Jammu and Kashmir for two days next week. He is understood to take a stock of situation since the operations against terrorists were suspended and decide on future course of action.
