Terrorists loot two banks in Kashmir

Srinagar: Within a gap of few hours, armed terrorists struck twice in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Wednesday ans looted cash from two banks.

The second bank loot happened when terrorists forced an entry into the Nehama branch of the Jammu and Kashmir Bank

According to a senior police official, terrorists entered the Wahibug village branch of Ellaquai Dehati Bank (Regional Rural Bank) in Pulwama and looted Rs 4.92 lakh at gunpoint.

A few hours later, the second bank loot happened when terrorists forced an entry into the Nehama branch of the Jammu and Kashmir Bank in Kakapora area. “Armed robbers have looted cash from Nehama village branch of the J&K Bank in Pulwama district. The exact amount looted by the robbers is being ascertained”, said the police official.

It may be mentioned here that on Tuesday, terrorists looted Rs 65,000 from a branch of Ellaquai Dehati Bank in Kulgam district.

Similalrly on Monday, terrorists killed seven people, including five policemen and two bank guards, when they attacked a cash van in Kulgam district.
