Srinagar: The Indian Army on Saturday foiled yet another infiltration bid on the Line of Control (LoC) and killed killed three terrorists in the process in Tangdhar sector of Jammu and Kashmir.
According to a police official, the alert army personnel at the LoC in Tangdhar sector noticed some movement from the Pakistan side at the LoC. “These infiltrating terrorists whose number was between four and five were being provided cover fire by the Pakistani Army who resorted to unprovoked firing to facilitate the infiltration by the terrorists from their launch pads,” said the police official.
The police official said that the Indian Army responded to the Pakistan aggression in equal and effective manner.
In the meanwhile, when the group of infiltrating terrorists were challenged by the Army, they resorted to heavy firing and in the ensuing encounter, three of the infiltrating terrorists were killed.
Till reports last came in, searches were on in the area to locate and neutralise the remaining terrorists, said the police official.
