Srinagar: A sarpanch and another person were killed in a grenade attack by terrorists in a village in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Tuesday.

According to a police official, terrorists lobbed grenade in Hakura as ‘Back to the village’ programme was underway. After the grenade attack, terrorists resorted to firing at the people present in the function which was also attended by government officials.
However, immediately after the incident, a police team reached the spot and a search operation has been launched to nab the terrorists responsible for the act.
The said incident of grenade attack came hours after two civilians were injured in a blast carried out by terrorists at Hazratbal.
The police is working on the clues gathered by it from the incidents sites to identity those behind the attacks.
