Two JeM terrorists killed in J&K’s Budgam encounter

Srinagar: Two Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terrorists have been killed in an ongoing encounter that started between terrorists and security forces at Mochua area in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

According to the Jammu and Kashmir police, the encounter broke out on Tuesday evening in the Aribagh Mouchwa area of Budgam district after security forces comprising Jammu and Kashmir Police, 50 Rashtriya Rifles and the Central Reserve Police Force cordoned off the area and launched a search operation on the basis of a specific information about presence of terrorists.

As the security forces zeroed in on the spot where terrorists were hiding they came under a heavy volume of fire that triggered the encounter.

The gun battle lasted nearly four hours before the two terrorists were gunned down. Till reports last came in, search operation in the area was on as presence of a few more terrorists hiding in the area could not be ruled out, said an official.
