New Delhi: Delhi Police on Tuesday took a woman into custody for questioning. She had allegedly honey-trapped Bharatiya Janata Party leader KC Patel and accused him of rape and had tried to extort Rs 5 crore, an official said.
“We have taken the woman, who honey-trapped the BJP MP, into custody for questioning,” a senior police official said.
She was picked from her residence in Indirapuram area of Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh.
While the woman had alleged that the MP raped her on several occasions, Patel claimed he was drugged and obscene videos and photos were shot by her.
Police has claimed that it has emerged that the woman was involved in similar instances earlier.
