Srinagar: Alert security forces on Tuesday foiled yet another infiltration bid by terrorists from across the Line of Control (LoC) in Uri sector of Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district. According to Defence Ministry sources, the security forces on noticing suspicious movement in Gohalan area, resorted to firing at the infiltrators. “Taken a back by the quick response of the security forces, the infiltrating terrorists flee back,” said sources.
Sources said that immediately after that the Pakistan Army started firing at Indian positions for providing cover fire to the terrorists waiting for a fresh attempt to infiltrate.
However, the Indian Army retaliated strongly and effectively and thwarted any such attempt, sources added.
