IAF Jaguar crashes in Gujarat’s Kutch, pilot succumb to injuries

Jamnagar: An Indian Air Force (IAF) Jaguar crashed in Mundra district of Kutch in Gujarat on Tuesday, killing its pilot.

A Court of Inquiry has been ordered to investigate cause of the accident

An IAF spokesperson said the aircraft was on a routine training mission when it met with the accident on the outskirts of Beraja village in Jamnagar around 10.30 am.

“The pilot, Air Commodore Sanjay Chauhan, sustained fatal injuries during the crash,” the spokesperson said.

Sources said that five cows grazing in the field where the aircraft crashed were also killed.

A Court of Inquiry has been ordered to investigate cause of the accident.
