Srinagar: The Indian army on Saturday foiled yet another infiltration bid from across the Line of Control (LoC) by a group of terrorists in Kupwara district of the state.

According to defence sources, the alert troops challenged a group of terrorists trying to infiltrate in the Tangdhar sector of the LoC earlier in the day.
Sources said that when the army troops challenged the infiltrating terrorists, they resorted to heavy firing.
Till reports last came in heaving exchange of fire was on in the area.
Meanwhile, two Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) troopers were injured in firing by terrorists on Saturday in Anantnag district of the state.
A police official said that the terrorists fired at the CRPF party in Bamzoo village while they were patrolling on the Anantnag-Pahalgam road.
Immediately after the incident, the security forces swung into action and cordoned off the area where intensive search operation was underway to nab or neutralise the terrorists responsible for the attack on the CRPF patrol.
