Srinagar: A Special Police Officer (SPO) of Jammu and Kashmir Police has been abducted late Friday night by terrorists from Tral area of Pulwama district.
According sources in the state police, the abducted SPO Shakeel Ahmad Lone was visiting one of his relatives in the area when terrorists kidnapped him from Chan Kitar Tral.
State police chief SP Vaid said, “we are verifying the information. His family has said that he is visiting a relative.”
Few days back, a police constable Saleem Khan was abducted from his residence in the Mutalhama area of Kulgam district in south Kashmir whose bullet ridden body was later recovered by the police.
Sources said that the security forces have launched a massive search operation to trace the abducted policeman and nab the terrorists responsible for the act.
