Soldier martyred in Pakistan firing on LoC in J&K’s Sunderbani sector

Jammu: An Indian Army soldier was martyred in a fresh unprovoked ceasefire violation by the Pakistan army on Saturday at Line of Control (LoC) in the Rajouri district.

He said that the soldier was injured from a sniper fire

According to Defence Ministry spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Devender Anand, the Pakistan Army resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation in Sunderbani at around 9.45 am in which a soldier posted at a forward post was injured.

He said that the soldier was injured from a sniper fire and later succumbed to injuries.

The Indian troops retaliated strongly to unprovoked Pakistan aggression. However, the extent of damage to life and property in the retaliatory fire by the Indian Army on the Pakistani side is not known.
