New Delhi: Alert parliament security personnel foiled a trespassing attempt on Monday by an individual who has been detained for questioning.

Sources said that the suspect who tried to trespass into the parliament complex was taken into custody by security forces.
According to reports, the arrested suspect was carrying a knife and is said to be a supporter of jailed Dera Sacha Sauda chief and rape convict Ram Rahim.
The suspect had arrived near Gate No 1 of Parliament building on a motorbike.
Sources said that the arrested suspect was taken to Parliament Street police station where a team of senior police officers had been questioning him.
A police sources said that the trespasser has been identified as Sagar and he is a resident of Delhi’s Lakshmi Nagar.
The trespasser stopped his bike at Gate No 1 and tried to enter inside the Parliament premise with a knife in his hand, said an eyewitness.
He was also shouting slogans in favour of Ram Rahim when security forces detained him and handed him over to Delhi Police for questioning.
