Pak violates ceasefire in Poonch, India hits back killing three Pakistani Rangers

Sriganar: Responding to unprovoked Pakistan ceasefire violation along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, Indian Army on Friday hit back and destroyed a number of Pakistani posts and killed at least three to four enemy soldiers.

According to reports, the Pakistan Army resorted to unprovoked firing in Shahpur and Kirni sectors of Poonch district and in a befitting reply, India retaliated by destroying a couple of post of the Pakistan Army.

“During the course of this strong retaliation by the Indian Army, three to four Pakistani Rangers were also killed,” said sources in the Army adding that a few terrorists launch pads were also destroyed.

However, the Pakistani army refused to mend it ways as it again violated the ceasefire in the Sunderbani sector at 1.15 pm on Friday.

“Again the Pakistan misadventure is be responded to in a befitting way.” said sources adding that the extend of damage on the enemy side is not known.

Earlier, on December 25, an Indian Army soldier was martyred when Pakistan resorted to a ceasefire violation along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir. Targeting the civilian areas, the Pakistan Army had started firing in Silikot area of Uri in Baramulla district at around 11 am.

The Indian Army retaliated and killed two Pakistani soldiers.
