Srinagar: Two Army personnel were injured on Saturday in Jammu and Kashmir’s Srinagar district when terrorists attacked an army convoy on city’s outskirts.

According to a defence official, the terrorists fired at the last vehicle of an Army convoy near the Jhelum Valley College of Medical Science on the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad highway, injuring two soldiers.
The Army convoy was enroute to Srinagar city from Baramulla town.
Immediately after the attack, the entire area was sealed by the security forces and a massive search operation launched to nab the terrorists responsible for the attack, said the official.
This latest attack on a Army Convoy comes a day ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the state to inaugurate the 9.2 km Nashri-Chenani tunnel that connects Jammu region’s Udhampur and Ramban districts on the strategic Jammu-Srinagar highway.
