Pakistani Army again violates ceasefire in J&K’s Poonch sector

Jammu: Two days after the barbaric act of mutilating the bodies of two soldiers in Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch in J&K, the Pakistani Army again violated the ceasefire on the Line of Control (LoC) Poonch district on Wednesday, triggering a fierce retaliation from the Indian Army.

According to defence sources, the Pakistani Army resorted to unprovoked firing at Indian positions on the LoC around 3 am in the Ponnch sector.

Intermittent firing exchanges continued between the two sides till 7 am,” sources added.

It may be recalled that Wednesday’s ceasefire violation on the LoC in Poonch by Pakistan has come two days after a Pakistani Border Action Team (BAT) supported by cover fire from Pakistan posts killed and mutilated two soldiers in Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch sector.
