New Delhi: Within a few days of Indian Army destroying a number of Pakistani post across the Line of control in Naushera sector of Rajouri district in J&K, two Border Action Team (BAT) attackers were killed by the Army on Friday in Uri sector of J&K when they made a futile attempt to infiltrate into the Indian territory.

According to a defence official, the Indian Army avenged the May 1 beheading of two of security personnel when they killed two attackers of Pakistan’s BAT in Uri. These BAT groups who are in fact trained terrorists, are used by the Pakistan Army to raid, assault and indulge in brutality on the Line of Control, said the official.
It may be mentioned here that these BAT teams from Pakistan have in the past indulged in attacking Indian posts at the LoC on several occasion besides indulging in beheading and mutilation of soldiers’ bodies at times.
The Pakistani troops on May 1 had targeted two forward posts of the Indian Army with rockets and mortar bombs. During the course of these unprovoked aggression, BAT attackers moved in and beheaded two security personnel –BSF Head Constable Prem Sagar and Army Subedar Paramjeet Singh, reminded the official.
